Merkurius is the mind-melting album from the originators of Swedish psychedelia. The band launches into drones, avant-garde dirges, and fevered hard rockin’ wig-outs heavily overblown with jams rocketing into surreal spheres. All with an urgency of the now. Baby Grandmothers are bona fide psychedelic originators and these three extraordinary musicians creations run like a red thread through Swedish psychedelic music history. After over 50 years in the service of psychedelic music this album finds the Baby Grandmothers in fine form and as timeless as ever.

A spectacular, and now revised and updated, archival package of primitive drone and minimalist rock/trance/psych from the Swedish underground, believe the hype as follows; one of the most memorable audio documents ever. Pitchfork rating 9.3. “For a brief period during 1967-68, Pärson Sound was a frontrunner in the burgeoning Swedish music scene, leading to an opening gig for the Doors and an invite from Andy Warhol to play an art exhibit in Stockholm.
