GLENRAYS: Egyptian Nightmare (Perry US) Vg+ 260:-
“ The Glenrays remind us that a minor key, a wordless chorus, and a sinuous saxophone line are all you
need to turn bluesy instrumental burlesque into Saharan gold. I can’t find mention of this single anywhere. I’d
guess it was from ’63 or ’64, though. The Glenrays were a rocking instrumental combo with a few 45s on
Minneapolis’s Gaity/Perry family of labels, surveyed brilliantly on theBloodshot! compilations from Norton
records. “Egyptian Nightmare” is actually pretty sophisticated fare by the label's standards; this was a label
whose output tended to reflect the tastes of the more troglodyte element of Minnesota’s teen populace.”

Click Kids and others.

JOHNNY’S GUITAR: Supannahong EP (Rosana Thailand 65) Ex/M- 450:-
Another killer Thai EP with 4 totally mind bending guitar instrumentals from 1965. The fabulous Johnny’s Guitar
who started out in 1963 was the king of the string bands in Thailand. The band was led by the then 29 years
old and almost six feet tall organist Noparatana Tipayaosot, who also used to be playing with ”Bangkok Blue
Band”. Supannahong was Johnny’s Guitar’s first hit in 1965. A truly great example of how the Thai string bands
developed their own style through mixing pop sounds with native Thai music.
Supannahong is a traditional tune
reserved for a boat procession on the mighty Chao Praya river. In Johnny’s Guitar’s hands the song turns into
a bonafide haunting psychedelic west coast Asian dream masterpiece that even pre-dates the coming of the
psychedelic era. Others are unique and great instro garage surf rockers. This one is a big big fave which is still
almost unknown among garage and psych collectors.

Paul Major way back. One side is kick ass local hardrock reminding me of Jordan Michals “Armageddon”
album with full-on head splitting fuzz guitar lead extravaganza. The flip is something else completely;
outlaw garage psych with an amazing guitar break.

THE LAW & THE SANDY: Oh! Oh! Oh! EP (Crown Thailand 6?) swol Vg+++/Ex 650:-

Really cool and rare leave shaped picture disc! The Leaves of course did the first ever commercial recording of “Hey Joe”.

LEGENDARY STARDUST COWBOY: Paralyzed/Who’s Knocking At My Door (
Mercury US 68) ch M- 350:-
A true rock & roll primitive, the Legendary Stardust Cowboy played a crude brand of rockabilly obsessed with the Wild
West and science fiction, and filled with vocal effects ranging from rebel yells and war whoops to a startling array of
animal noises. In 1968, inspired by Tiny Tim's appearance on The Tonight Show, Odam decided to drive to New York
to do the

same thing. He stopped in Fort Worth, where he caught the attention of two vacuum cleaner salesmen who knew a local
club owner. Impressed by the amateurish abandon of his performance, the salesmen took him to a recording studio the
next morning, where the Legendary

Stardust Cowboy recorded his debut single, "Paralyzed," with engineer T-Bone Burnette. Local promoter Major Bill Smith
somehow sold the single to Mercury for national distribution.

LEGENDARY STARDUST COWBOY: Paralyzed/Who’s Knocking At My Door (Mercury US 6?) ch M- 800:-
Rare US Promo 45" released in 1968 on Mercury Records. Cat.72862. B-side is "Who's knocking at my door".
A true rock & roll primitive even wilder than cult legend Hasil Adkins, the Legendary Stardust Cowboy played a crude
brand of rockabilly obsessed with the Wild West and science fiction, and filled with vocal effects ranging from rebel yells
and war whoops to a startling array of animal noises. In 1968, inspired by Tiny Tim's appearance on The Tonight Show,
Odam decided to drive to New York to do the same thing. He stopped in Fort Worth, where he caught the attention of

MICHEL LEGRAND: UN HOMME ET MORT O.S.T.  (v RE) NEW 145:-
When composing the original soundtrack to Jacques Deray's nervous and stylised polar "Un Homme est Mort" in 1972,
Michel Legrand no doubt had no idea that the 7 inch emblazoned with the film's 2 themes would later become one of the
most sought after records on the rare groove planet. A masterpiece of funk and warped film music that figures on every
self-respecting wish list. To understand the powers of attraction of this little gem of a vinyl, we need only lower the needle
onto side 1 and feverishly wait forthe beats of its opener which take the form of a strange hypnotic mantra, solidly mixing 2
repetitive lines played by a static bass and a killer wah-wah guitar. After 20 seconds that seem to go on forever, the track
explodes, setting itself free against a simultaneous assault from drums, a second guitar and a majestic Hammond organ.
We assist powerlessly, yet consentingly in this magnificent debauched groove whichtransforms its A-side into a dazzlingly
powerful orgy of psychedelic funk.

LIFE ON EARTH! /(LIV PA JORDEN!)!Blomkraftens Frukt (Subliminal Sounds 2010) NEW 85:-
Deluxe limited edition 499 copies only worldwide. LIFE ON EARTH! BECOME PROVINCIAL! By public demand Life on Earth!
releases the live favorite Blomkraftens Frukt (Flower Powers Fruit) as a single on February 13, 2010! 2009 was an eventful year
for Life on Earth! with the release of A Space Water Loop and two trips to the U.S. and fine gigs in cities like Portland, New York
and Brooklyn, and odd places like the cowboy/artist town of Marfa, Texas and under the red wood-trees at the classic Henry Miller
Library in Big Sur, California. But the stone rolls on, and now we will release a single to chart new directions, for a while, we

Knegareliv on the flip. But that’s not all! As an extra bonus, we are also add the story of Harald Harfaste and Hassan-i
Sabbah. This triple combo of songs can illuminate the darkest corners of the winter. Perfect both at the late

MICHAEL LIGGINS AND THE SUPER SOULDS: Loaded tO The Gills (NowAgain US re) M-/M- 100:-12” single It simply
doesn’t get heavier than Phoenix, Arizona’s Michael Liggins and The Super Souls. While Dyke and the Blazers were recording
some of funk music’s premier sides in this dusty desert city, Liggins and company set up shop in a cheap
studio to record two dirty,
downright psychedelic, peyote-ingesting funk tunes that would go on to languish locally for nearly thirty years.“Loaded to the Gills” and “
Loaded Back” are two fine examples of Black American rock littered with breakbeats and possessing the off-kilter grooves that
immediately appeal to the funky soul of hip hop generation.
Remastered and now re-released, this twelve inch also includes
“Loaded to the Gills” bonus beats and a recently discovered side by Michael Liggins side-project We The People.

KABUAN MOOGDA  - Wairoon (Supanahong  Thailand 7?)Ex 300:-
Killer Thai 45 comped on Thai Beat. Kabuan Moogda’s Wairoon, meaning “Teenager”, is  a groovy song with a surprising vocal

what a song it is:funky rhythms with the sounds of elbow punching! Includes both the Thai and the English version, which
are equally great. Pretty much impossibly rare.

BOBBY JOE OTT: Flint River Inn (Metromedia US) M- 70:-
So who‚s Bobby? It is in fact Darius under parts of his real name. After the LP and 45 on Chartmaker he recorded this radio
station promo only bar rocker for Metromedia. Probably to make some money. It‚s not very good at all I‚m afraid but it‚s still
recorded by and related to the man who made one thee best 60s psych lp.

PAINTED SHIP: And She Said Yeah (London/Garage Greats re) NEW 110:-
From Vancouver, B.C. In 1966 this band cut 2 of the best garage-punk singles to come out of Canada. This is the 2nd

with a real bad attitude. Audience Reflections is a freaky weird psychedelic experience, like an UK toy-town gang p

QUICK FOX: Feel My Touch / Indian (Wild US) wol Ex 400:-
Totally unknown great garagy outlaw west coast style winner with ripping gnarly guitars all thru. Trippy sound on the
vocals which are sort of mystic. The band sound like they're off in their own world for the time…well they must have
been as this 45 was released in 1978 and not in 1969. Both sides are really strong and unusual & obscure. Labels
are autographed by the band.

RED WHITE & BLUES: Last Train To Georgia/Far, Far Away (Green Light SW 7?) 1000:-
Formed by King Georges Clemons in Sweden with fellow countrymen in order to avoid serving in the Vietnam war.
They recorded this rare single of funky heavy guitar psych and nothing else. Very rare.

ROOSTERS: Love Machine (Philips US 6?) 200:-
Cool and obscure US 60s pop psych from LA. First off, this is not the Roosters which included the pre-Yardbirds
Eric Clapton. However, the L.A.-based group that put out "One of These Days" in 1966 on the Progressive Sounds
of America label may have been the ancestor of these Roosters; "One of These Days" was written by Timothy Ward,
who with perhaps one or two others was part of the "Love Machine" sessions, backed by a gaggle of studio pros under the guiding hand
of producer Snuff Garrett. "Love Machine" was written by James A. Griffin and Michael Z. Gordon, both fair-sized names
in L.A. pop; Gordon penned "Out of Limits", the Marketts hit which incorporated bits of Marius Constant's Twilight Zone theme,
and Griffin is the chap who would later keep David Gates from turning Bread into something completely white and fluffy. "Love Machine"
itself is a strange little bop, one of the few pop tunes I can recall with both vibes andwah-wah guitar; the vocalist sounds like Gary
Puckett on Dexedrine. "Love Machine" never quite got into the Hot 100, but it was a fair-sized hit in the Southeast, and reportedly made #2 in
Miami. Last I heard, Ward was living in Santa Barbara. Somehow, this song, in a recording by a studio group under the name "Pastoral
Symphony," wound up being a medim size hit in Australia at about the same time.

White label promo copy. Fantastic mid70s psychy cosmic funk trip.

SODSAI: Shake Baby Shake/San Francisco (Metro Thailand) tofc Vg+++/Vg+++ 800:-
The cute Sodsai Chaengkij had a prolific record output during the 60s and was the most popular singer in Bangkok,
where she frequently appeared at the famous Lolita Night Club on Rajdamnoen Avenue. You can hear why on her performance
of Shake Baby Shake. This is an ultra rare Thai 60s single and it has a weird format. The disc is a 6 inch? Never

Comes in deluxe custom designed picture sleeves,  original "punch out" style record. the rarest and best African 45s turned up after years of digging in Africa. Strictly limited to 1000 copies. Stoneface was already a veteran of the Nigerian music scene when he formed this band and cut this (their only) 45 in 1973. Starting with the Tall men in the mid 60's, Stoneface was soon asked to join the Postmen with legendary guitarist Goddy Oku and the great Sonny Okosuns. After a stint in the Hygrades he formed his own group with Kingsley "Dallas" Anyanwu (from the high school band Dee-Mites), lead guitarist Maurice "Jackie Moore" Anyaorah (from Salt & Pepper Organisation), rhythm guitarist Roy Obika and bassist Jimi Henshaw--and formed Life Everalsting. This single is a fantastic two-sider - "Love Is Free" is a gritty psych-rcok tune with trippy guitar solo while "Agawalam Mba" is a bulldozing Afro-funk tune with gravelly vocals and heavy fuzz guitar. An incredibly rare and great single rescued from obscurity! Less than 5 original copies known worldwide!

finest Latin music that was recorded in the US from the ‘50s to the ‘70s, made by American Latinos and destined f
or the dancefloor. This limited (and now deleted) 3 x 7” takes in the sounds that were coming out of the New York Latin clubs – mixing up jazz, soul, funk and R&B with driving, hypnotic and sexy Latin rhythms. Drawn
from the vaults of Fania, the most prominent Latin record company of all time, we’ve spent many years listening
and dancing before finally selecting these 18 songs from the many thousands available in the huge Fania catalogue.
And so here it is – the best Latin sounds from the richest period in Latin music – taking in hard latin jazz, sultry latin
soul and bangin’ latin funk – songs that are as relevant today as they were when they were first recorded, and songs
that still work their magic on the dancefloor!

VIGON: POPCORN POPCORN (V F re) NEW 166:-
When Barclay launched the Egg label in 1969, sub-division dedicated to soul, funk and psychedelic music, it would
make a monumental impression with its first release, the fantastic album "Original Popcorn", which, over the years,
has come to be recognised as a moment of rare groove Made in France.
Steering this musical UFO we find the mad
musicians from the group Cruciferius (pre-Magma line up) along with the fabulous Franco-
Moroccan rhythmnblues singer Vignon, a unique personality, brimming over with energy and with the voice of a soulman,
capable of making the Americans, though undisputed leaders in the style, green with envy. On the A side of this brave 7"
we find "Popcorn Popcorn", a great moment in repetitive
and hypnotic funk, similar to the trance to be found on the album,
while on the B side lies a unique track, no doubt from the same high voltage recording sessions. The super groovy "Frozen
steak Popcorn" retains momentum, taking on the allure of psychedelic blues on speed, stuffed with reverberating guitars,
intrepid bass, and an army of percussion come to swell the already mammoth drum beat. In short, full marks for this fantastic
little record which has become an essential addition to its cult album of origin. From original master tapes. Limited edition,
Numbered. Original artwork.

ROLAND VINCENT: Delphine OMPST (Barclay/Vadim F re) M-/M- 130:-
LSD Party! Avidly hunted down by every amateur of illicit, lysergic influenced soundtracks, "Delphine" is largely deserving
of its cult EP status. Indeed, well hidden behind a magnificent pop art sleeve lies one of French rare grooves most
emblematic anthems, the famous "LSD partie", beloved of the most demanding of DJs, including David Holmes who
would include it in the score for "Oceans Twelve."
This great moment in epileptic jerk, unequivocal title in tow, is a real piece
of bravado, thick with wha-wha guitar which confronts the attacks of a bouncing bass and fierce Hammond organ full in the face.
Urgently recorded under the direction of the composer/ arranger Roland Vincent, this track, aimed at illustrating a drugs party,
i s quintessential of the French psychedelic sound the rest of the world raves over.

CLIFF WAGNER: HER NAME WAS SUE (V F re) NEW 166:-
You may have never heard of Cliff Wagner, but listening to the two tracks on this obscure single will quickly earn this
American artist a top ranking place in your playlists. Released at the dawn of the 70s on Egg, the excellent French
pop/progressive label, both songs evolve within an excellent soul and rock register, tinted with wonderful shades '
of psychedelia.
If the poignant "Her name was Sue" plays the sober and reverent card, the sublime "Red Spot" blatantly brims over with energy
with surprising flexibility. Right from the bass/drum break intro which holds its ground effortlessly against the sonic attacks of a
dazzling fuzz guitar, shivers of pleasure arise,
and feet begin to mechanically tap out the rhythm. And then a radiant Hammond
organ comes in, followed by a mischievous wah-wah guitar and a discrete, but altogether essential bell. This
magical orchestration, product of Herv Roys expertise as crafty arranger, disruptive with the work of the producer,
offers Wagners gravely voice a sparkling box of soul. Here we have a great, very great track, pop attuned to the max. A real
gem! From original master tapes. Limited edition, Numbered. Original artwork.

YVONNE & YVETTE    THE SIAMESE TWINS            (N US re) NEW     3.
Yvonne & Yvette spent many hard years as sideshow attractions, but were tapped by their church to go into the gospel field. These
recordings were private pressings not made for public distribution, and include their raucous 60's pairing plus a sweet childhood chant
and an unusual incantation by their mom, set to spook show organ grinding. Look for our Kicks Publishing Company scrapbook on the girls in the months to come! May they revel in posthumous glory always. Tracks include 'After It's All Over', He's Sweet I Know', 'Your Mother', We Are Workers For The Lord'.
